Ans: Two keys used in a digital signature are private key and public key.

Ans: Yes there is a provision of monetary fine from 50 thousand to 3 lakh against cyber crime in Nepal.

d)     d) When was the concept of computer ethics introduce?

Ans: The concept of computer ethics introduced in 1950 AD

e)      e) "We should not use internet" is it computer ethics?

Ans: No it is not computer ethics.

Ans: The cyber law deals with the legal issues related to information communication technologies particularly internet, computer network, websites, software, electronic devices, electronic transaction etc.

b)     b) Define the term cyber space.

Ans: The term cyberspace is virtual space created by computer networks, the internet, and various transmission mediums used to make communication.

c)     cWhy is cyber law necessary for Nepal?

Ans: Nepal is one of the developing countries and the use of ICT is increasing in different sectors, different illegal activities are also done using ICT so to control and abuse cyber crimes cyber law is necessary for Nepal.

d)      d) Mention any four provisions made in the cyber law of Nepal?

Ans: Four provisions made in the cyber law of Nepal are :

i) Provision of monetary fine from Rs Fifty Thousand to Rs. Three lakhs.

ii) Provision of imprisonment from six months to three years.

iii) Provisions of digital signature, electronic data processing etc.

iv) Provision of legal hearing of cyber-related problems through IT Tribunal and Appellate Tribunal.

e)      e) Write any four commandments of computer ethics.

Ans:The Four commandments of computer ethics are:

·        We should not use computer to harms others.

·        We should not open and disclose the secrecy of computer.

·        We should not spare illegal or false information to the society.

·        We should not guess the password of others.

iii) Trademark Law:

Regulates communication services, ensuring fair use of network services, and preventing misuse like cybercrimes and spam.

v) Data Protection and Privacy Law:

Safeguards personal data from unauthorized access, ensuring individuals' privacy rights in the digital realm.

vi) Electronic Transaction Act (Law):

Governs and legitimizes online transactions, making them legally binding and secure through regulations on e-commerce and digital contracts.

 

b) What is computer ethics? Why computer ethics is necessary to control cybercrimes in our society?

Ans: The moral principles that control the use of computers and technology. It involves the responsible and ethical use of computing systems, ensuring that actions taken with technology do not harm individuals, organizations, or society.

Computer ethics is necessary to control cybercrimes in our society because it:

·        Ensures respect for privacy and intellectual property.

·        Sets standards for acceptable online conduct.

·        Reinforces legal efforts to combat cybercrimes.
